Out of 40 cats retrieved from one household last summer, just two remain for adoption. Baby and her mother were as neglected as the rest, and many cats were unsalvageable. Baby was still nursing when the litter was rescued from deplorable conditions. Mama was spared, spayed and had her decayed teeth removed. They have shared a cage ever since and shelter workers would love to find a home where they could continue to be together.
