Family resources focus of fair

The Spokesman-Review

A family resource fair will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 10 at the Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St.

Seminars for adults, activities and a parade for kids, free child care for infants and information from a wide variety of social service agencies will be included.

Dr. Mary Ann Keogh Hoss, assistant professor in health services administration at Eastern Washington University, will present a seminar on health resources beginning at 10 a.m.

Cynthia Fine of Planned Parenthood of the Inland Northwest also will present a seminar titled “Askable Parents, Teachable Moments.” A seminar on youth employment will be presented by Youth Synergy.

Free hotdogs will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a children’s parade.

Bemiss Neighborhood Council and SPOC of Spokane (Support for Parents Overcoming Challenges) are co-sponsoring the event.
