Coolin man, 85, dies in 2-car accident

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

An 85-year-old man from Coolin, Idaho, was killed Friday afternoon when he pulled onto state Highway 57 near Priest River, Idaho.

The Idaho State Police said Stanley J. Kozlowski failed to yield when he steered his 1992 Chrysler LeBaron into the southbound lane of the highway from Dickensheet Road about 12:20 p.m. into the path of a 1999 Plymouth Voyager driven by Samantha S. Davis, 23, of Priest Lake. Davis and a 5-week-old infant strapped into a child seat in her car were uninjured.

Officers said Kozlowski and Davis both were using seat belts. Kozlowski was airlifted to Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane, where he was pronounced dead.
