Space available in public school child-care programs

Parents and guardians interested in child care through Spokane Public Schools who missed the deadline this week for a Sept. 4 start date can still register.

Students who register late will not be eligible for child care until Sept. 10, school officials said.

Parents or guardians must submit complete enrollment forms to the child-care billing office, 200 N. Bernard St., second floor.

There is a $50 registration fee.

Kindergarten care will be available at selected sites during non-school hours between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

First through sixth grades will have before-school sessions starting at 6:30 a.m. and after-school sessions from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at most sites.

Preschool care will be available at selected sites in morning, afternoon and all-day sessions from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for children 3 and 4 years old.
