Winners in the 19th annual Writers Competition at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library were recognized May 19 during a ceremony in the parish hall at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. The Writers Competition received 244 entries this year from participants ranging in age from 6 to over 80 in three states. The competition is judged each year by volunteers who are professional writers, editors and writing educators.

Winners in the competition receive cash prizes – contributed by the Coeur d’Alene Kiwanis Club – of $100 for first, $50 for second and $25 for third.
