Police say man pushed pregnant woman out of truck

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

A 34-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after a Spokane police detective witnessed him push a pregnant woman out of a truck.

Bryan D. Frazier was booked into Spokane County Jail on charges of unlawful imprisonment, domestic violence, possession of marijuana, driving while license suspended as well as a felony drug warrant, said Officer Jennifer DeRuwe, a Spokane police spokeswoman. The woman, who is six months pregnant, suffered cuts and bruises but refused medical treatment.

About noon Tuesday, a detective in an undercover vehicle saw the passenger door open up and feet dangle out, DeRuwe said. It appeared the man was punching the passenger.

The woman was pushed out of the truck when it made a quick turn on Haven Street, DeRuwe said. The man stopped and tried to pull the woman back in while still assaulting her, DeRuwe said.

The man fled when the detective approached, DeRuwe said.

Officers found Frazier a short time later hiding in some bushes near Mission and Regal.
