So, what’s next – sore toothiness?

With a bruised forehead, Stephen Colbert has found a new cause celebre: fighting the glamorization of “face violence” in movies.

As he did after breaking his wrist last year, the satirical TV talk host has transformed a real-life injury into a mock crusade.

Colbert was injured Saturday, and while he’s been cagey about the cause, he’s made no attempt to hide the scarring between his eyebrows this week on “The Colbert Report.”

In extreme close-up Monday, he detailed the wreckage: “I’ve got stitches up there and it looks like I’m growing a little map of Norway down the side of my face.”

He suggested it could have been caused by “practicing for a walk-on role in Cirque du Soleil and overestimating the number of French Canadians my forehead would support.”

Last June, Colbert broke his wrist while running around his set before the taping of a show. He went on to wage a months-long fight for “wrist awareness” and circulated “WristStrong” bracelets for the cause.

Proceeds from the $1 bracelets have gone to the Yellow Ribbon Fund, a charity that assists injured service members and their families.

Don’t forget Paris

First it was Britney Spears on “How I Met Your Mother.” Then came Lindsay Lohan on “Ugly Betty.”

Now Nicole Richie is making a guest appearance on NBC’s “Chuck,” playing the high school nemesis of undercover CIA agent Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski).

In the episode, which will air this fall, Sarah must confront Richie’s character when she is forced to attend her 10-year high school reunion for a mission with fellow agent Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi) as her date.

The cad gets a shack

Bill Murray‘s divorce is official, barely a month after his wife of nearly 11 years filed.

Jennifer Butler Murray claimed in court papers that her husband abused her and was addicted to marijuana and alcohol.

The couple’s four children will live with their mother, who keeps both houses. Murray will have visitation rights and pay support.

Cons do it all the time

Troubled country singer Mindy McCready has been charged with violating her probation.

Authorities accuse McCready, 32, on probation for a 2004 drug charge, of falsifying her community service records.

Bouncing back

When it comes to unruly fans, Tim McGraw takes matters into his own hands – literally.

Fan video from Tuesday’s concert at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Wash., shows the country star summoning security and helping them haul a heavyset man onstage.

When the fan moved toward McGraw while being hauled away, the singer threatened him with a cocked fist.

McGraw’s rep says he saw the man rush up and attack a female concertgoer.
