Word keeps trickling in about some special treats being tapped today:

– In addition to its regular Friday night Randall – this time, River City Red infused with espresso beans from locally roasted DOMA Coffee – River City is celebrating First Friday with an oak-aged firkin preview of its upcoming Deep Thaw Winter Warmer.

– This weekend’s cask offering at Trickster’s in Coeur d’Alene is the seasonal Soul Warmer Porter conditioned with toasted coconut and brown sugar. (These are naturally carbonated in the keg, for extra smoothness, and poured through a regular carbon dioxide tap.)

– The always-popular Combine Hefeweizen has returned to Zythum Brewing in Fairfield. This huge interpretation of the unfiltered wheat beer style is made with Washington-grown grain and hops from the surrounding Mount Hope area.
