Grier moves on

 Former Gonzaga assistant basketball coach Billy Grier has been hired at Oklahoma State, according to a report in the San Diego Union Tribune.

 Grier was most recently the head coach at San Diego and was fired last season after eight seasons with the Toreros. Prior to that he was a long-time assistant at Gonzaga under Mark Few.

 The Union Tribune reported that sources close to both programs confirmed Grier will join Travis Ford’s staff at Oklahoma State. A formal announcement is expected today, according to the paper.
