UPDATE WEDNESDAY 6/17: Today’s weekly small-batch offerings are a Hatch Pepper IPA at Iron Goat, a spicy variation on the regular Head Butt (6.7 ABV, 90 IBU); and a CranApple Graf cider/beer hybrid (7.8) at Daft Badger in Coeur d’Alene.

An advance look at what’s shaping up as a particularly busy week in local beer:

Selkirk Abbey in Post Falls is celebrating its third anniversary all week long, with special beers rotating on tap and discount prices on the regular lineup.

Waddell’s , which recently brewed a smoky house Scotch ale for the Timber Gastro Pub in Post Falls, is doing the same for Poole’s Public House in Spokane. Meet the brewers at a release party there Tuesday at 6 p.m.

– Republic Pi hosts a Firestone Walker pint night Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. starring the Stickee Monkee – a Belgian-style quad aged in bourbon barrels – along with the Easy Jack, Union Jack, Double Jack and Wookey Jack dark rye IPAs.

– No-Li brewers Damon Scott and Carey Fristoe will visit the Area 51 Taphouse at the North Side Onion Bar & Grill for a “Meet the Makers” tasting on Wednesday starting at 5 p.m.

– Both the North and Valley Total Wine stores are hosting an Old World vs. New World Battle of the Beers on Thursday, with classic styles from Germany, Belgium and England matched against similar American interpretations. The class runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; cost is $15.

– Fort George’s 3-Way IPA Tour comes to The Lantern Tap House on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., featuring the annual collaboration by the Astoria, Oregon brewery – this year, with Georgetown and Pfriem – plus seven other Fort George selections.

– Also on Friday, Pullman’s Paradise Creek will release its O Beehave honey wheat beer both on tap and in 22-ounce bottles.

Hopped Up marks its second anniversary in the Spokane Valley on Saturday with a party from 2 to 9 p.m. featuring the debut of its Valley Pilsner, along with live music and the Tacos El Guero food truck.

– And if you happen to be in the Seattle area this weekend, the state’s biggest beer bash – the Washington Brewers Festival – runs Friday through Sunday at Marymoor Park in Redmond, featuring more than 400 offerings from 105 breweries statewide.

As usual, look for further details on those and more here throughout the week.
