A farewell salute
Local brewers are joining forces to help the family of a fallen Coeur d’Alene police officer.
Green Bluff’s 238 Brewing will pour its own beers along with five guest taps in a benefit Saturday from noon to 8 p.m.
Pint glasses (pictured) and window stickers will be sold in memory of Sgt. Greg Moore – badge number K27 – who was killed in the line of duty on Tuesday. Proceeds will go to the Greg and Lindy Moore Fund in support of the family.
No-Li, River City, Orlison, English Setter and Zythum have donated kegs for the event, while Sandpoint’s Clearwater Gear provided the pint glasses. There also will be a food truck, live music by Random Generation, Sean Owsley and Steven King, and a ring will be raffled.
Those attending are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and food, and to wear blue in Moore’s honor. The event is family-friendly.
Previous brewery benefits for Moore’s survivors were held in Coeur d’Alene at Trickster’s and Daft Badger, and another is scheduled next Saturday at Mad Bomber in Hayden.
