Obituary: Doane, Bruce Jasper

Age 94

DOANE, Bruce Jasper (Age 94) Bruce Jasper Doane, age 94, passed away October 29, 2015, in Moxee, WA.

Bruce was born on July 9th, 1921, in Govan, WA to Maurice and Tillie (Evers) Doane.

Bruce was a veteran who served in the Air Force during WW II in the South Pacific.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, who he deeply cherished.

Bruce was also an avid fan of the Mariners.

He volunteered as a Scout Master for many years.

During his life, Bruce was a business owner and held several occupations including Washington State Patrol Weighmaster.

After retiring from the Washington State Patrol he drove school bus for the Pasco School District.

After growing up in Govan and Davenport, WA, Bruce also lived in Wilbur and Almira, WA.

Bruce lived in Pasco, WA for most of his adult life where he raised four children with his wife Bonnie.

For the last five years of his life he resided with his youngest son Charly and Charly’s wife, Kimberle, in Moxee, WA.

Bruce is survived by his two sons, Lawrence J. Doane and Charly Doane (Kimberle); his two daughters, Roseanna L. Sharpe (Art), Marietta F. Doane; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bruce is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; his parents and his siblings, Joyce Cadigan Davis, Russell Doane, Carol Eckhart; and a sister who died at birth; and a grandson, Kenny Ware.

Graveside services will be held at Almira Cemetery in Almira, WA, November 9th at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Almira endowment cemetery fund.
