UPDATES SATURDAY 2/20
– Selkirk Abbey is tapping the last keg of its Cuvee de la Nuit Profonde barrel-aged blend as part of its picture party today from 2 to 6 p.m. to shoot a new banner photo for its Facebook page. Also look for half-price pours of regular beers and the return of barrel-aged St. Augustine rye saison (drawing for a free case of bottles at 6).
– The On Point Pale is back on tap at English Setter , today being Randalled over lemon drops.
UPDATES WEDNESDAY 2/17
– A small-batch Highline Hoppy Wheat will be pouring tonight for Slate@8 at Slate Creek, with $3 pints from 8 p.m. on along with live music and pizza by the slice.
– Friday’s weekly Randall at English Setter from 5 to 8 p.m. is Wild Flush IPA over pineapple.
UPDATES TUESDAY 2/16
– Wednesday’s weekly small-batch release at Daft Badger will be a big American Saison (7.8 percent alcohol by volume, 40 International Bitterness Units).
– Downdraft has tapped the last keg from the first batch it ever brewed, of Anonymous Amber, more than a year ago.
A look at the upcoming week in local craft beer:
TUESDAY
– Twelve String releases its seasonal single-hop Spring Reverb (6 percent alcohol by volume, 50 International Bitterness Units), brewed this year with Mosaic. Get $4 pints and $10 growler fills of it all week, along with $1 off pints and growlers of the brewery’s beer of the week, Crescendo EXP IPA.
WEDNESDAY
– New Boundary is introducing a schwarzbier (black lager, 6, 26) as part of its Wednesday special release series.
SATURDAY
– Breweries across the state are offering special tours and tastings as part of the annual Washington Beer Open House from noon to 5 p.m. Local participants include Badass Backyard, Big Barn, English Setter, Perry Street and Twelve String.
– The South Hill Growler Guys welcomes Trickster’s for a tasting from 4 to 7.
– Wallace’s North Idaho Mountain Brewery/City Limits Pub is hosting the Silver Valley Brew Club for a 5 p.m. pairing dinner , with seven homebrews accompanied by complementary food courses; admission is free to the public, courtesy of the club.
– The Chewelah Valley Lions Club’s annual Cork & Keg festival from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Chewelah Civic Center will feature beers from Lost Falls, Northern, Quartzite and Republic along with area wines; tickets are $30 for drinks and appetizers, plus a silent auction.
