– Bellwether has tapped its Hearthstone Barleywine (10.1 percent ABV) after aging for three months. Only two kegs were made; the other will be cellared until next winter.

UPDATES WEDNESDAY 1/13

– With 14 of its own beers now on tap, Black Label is celebrating the Seahawks all week with two special flight offerings: 12th Man (seven 5-ounce beers for $12), and Beast Mode (all 14 for $24).

– Steam Plant beers will be featured in a tasting Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the South Hill Growler Guys , with a brewer on hand to talk shop.

A look at the upcoming week in local craft beer:

The Lantern Tap House ‘s third annual Winter Beer Fest officially kicks off today with rotating selections through Sunday at the bar inside. The action really gets going Thursday through Saturday in the outdoor tent; look for a full report on that later in the week.

– A salted caramel-infused Wrecking Ball imperial stout is this week’s centerpiece for No-Li’s Brewsday Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

– Four beers from Pullman’s Paradise Creek – Kugar Kolsch, Over the Hop IPA, Scottish Stovepipe and MooJoe Coffee Milk Stout – will be featured in a free tasting Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Pilgrim’s in Coeur d’Alene.

– A Sierra Nevada tap takeover is part of the Kaniksu Land Trust fundraiser Wednesday from 5 to 8 at Idaho Pour Authority in Sandpoint, with live music, complimentary appetizers and raffle prizes.

– MickDuff’s Lake Paddler Pale, NOHO Imperial IPA, Knot Tree Porter, Rum Porter and Bourbon Stout are lined up for a tasting Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Growler Guys in Coeur d’Alene.

– Open Season Apple Ale will be pouring through cinnamon sticks at English Setter’s second weekly Randall Friday from 5 to 8.

– Nine Deschutes beers, both regular and more rare, will be on tap for a brewery spotlight event Friday at 7 at the Rocket Market. Cost is $25 (includes artisan cheese, snacks and Clover bakery bread); reservations are requested.

– Wallace Brewing’s Huckleberry Shandy, Vindicator IPA and Vito rum- and oak-infused strong ale will star in a tasting Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Growler Guys.

– Square Wheel brewmaster John Mielke will demonstrate the extract brewing of an amber ale in the first of a two-part class Saturday at 10 a.m. at Catered For You, with the results served in a followup beer and food pairing dinner Feb. 6. Cost for both sessions is $100; call (509) 994-2600 for reservations.

– Bridgeport beers will accompany a four-course meal for the 37th brewer’s dinner at Hills’ Restaurant and Lounge on Sunday at 5 p.m. Cost is $49 (includes tax and tip); call (509) 747-3946 for reservations.
