Associated Press

BILLINGS, Mont. – Yellowstone County authorities say a man whose body was found last week at the base of Billings’ Rimrocks died of blunt-force trauma after an estimated 150-foot fall.

The coroner’s office identified the deceased man as 33-year-old David Robert Deavila of Billings.

A hiker found Deavila’s body on Friday night.

Billings Police Chief Rich St. John said Deavila died around June 18.

Authorities said there is no evidence of foul play. Investigators believe he accidentally fell from a steep slope.
