UPDATE FRIDAY 3/25

– Twelve String today releases a barrel-aged version of its third anniversary Volume 3 imperial red that has been sitting for 14 months in bourbon barrels.

– Several breweries and craft beer outlets are running specials for the Gonzaga Bulldogs’ Sweet Sixteen contest tonight, including Bellwether , $10 growler fills; $1 off beers at English Setter , and, if you’re wearing Zags gear, your first pint at Downdraft ; Orlison and River City , $3 pints; Nectar Wine and Bee r, 16 percent off total bill during the game; happy hour prices at Enoteca in Post Falls; and Coeur d’Alene’s Filling Station on 5th , buy one appetizer, get one free.

– River City’s Randall for the weekend is Huckleberry Ale through lemons and limes.

UPDATE THURSDAY 3/24

– Iron Horse’s High Five Hefe, Light Rail Cream Ale and Irish Death strong dark will be featured in a tasting Friday from 4 to 7 at the Coeur d’Alene Growler Guys.

– Habanero IPA is the new small-batch flavor-infused offering at Hopped Up .

UPDATES TUESDAY 3/22

– This week’s Wednesday small-batch release at Daft Badger in Coeur d’Alene is a German-style rauchbier brewed with smoked cherrywood (8.4 percent alcohol by volume, 9 International Bitterness Units).

MONDAY

– Spring Reverb is the featured beer for the week at Twelve String , with $1 off pints and growler fills.

FRIDAY

– The Spokane Valley Total Wine offers a New Belgium tasting from 6:30 to 8:30; cost is $10.

SATURDAY

– Manito Tap House launches the last round of its IPA March Madness , with voting through April 1 on blind taster trays of the eight finalists: Bale Breaker Topcutter, Georgetown Bodhizafa, Fremont Interurban, No-Li Born & Raised, Schooner Exact Hopvine, Iron Goat Head Butt, 7 Seas Rude Parrot and River City Riverkeeper. The winner gets a permanent tap handle for the year.
