Trump campaign apologizes to Black Lens

A spokeswoman for Donald Trump’s campaign said the Black Lens was accidentally denied media credentials to Saturday’s rally.

“We certainly never intend to exclude anyone,” said spokeswoman Hope Hicks. “I’m sure it was a mix-up on our end of the office.”

Hicks wouldn’t discuss specifically how the Trump campaign hands out press credentials. The Black Lens, an African American newspaper in Spokane, received media credentials early Saturday morning after being denied credentials Friday night. Hicks said she reached out to Sandra Williams, the editor, and apologized.
