Woman injured in Stevens County rollover crash charged with DUI

A woman ejected from her car in a rollover crash on Highway 291 in Stevens County Thursday morning has been charged with driving under the influence.

The Washington State Patrol reports that Susan M. Broomfield, 34, was driving south on Highway 291 about six miles south of Ford when she crashed just after 5 a.m. She drove off the road to the west and over-corrected to the east before her car rolled. She was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected during the crash, the WSP said.

Broomfield was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane for treatment of her injuries.
