Catching up with more news from the past week in local craft beer:

– In yet another indication that 2016 is rapidly slipping through our fingers, River City has announced its second annual Midnight Marmot festival for Dec. 17. For a fee to be revealed, you’ll get 2-ounce pours of nine variations on the seasonal imperial stout and a 12-ounce pour of your favorite (plus the glass).

– An Iron Goat brewer’s dinner next Thursday at Durkin’s Liquor Bar will feature five beers – Rhubarb Farmhouse Ale, Trashy Blonde, Garbage Pale, Goat Pith Lemon Sour and Goatmeal Stout – paired with accompanying courses that include actual goat (vegetarian options also available). Cost is $65 (includes tax and gratuity); call (509) 863-9501.

– With winter approaching, Green Bluff’s 238 Brewing will have its last Thirsty Thursday hours of the season next week from 2 to 4 p.m.

– No-Li has prepared for cooler weather with the opening of its outdoor lodge (pictured above), with fire pits beneath a protective tent on the patio.

– And in warmer climes, Laughing Dog launched Nevada distribution this week, following its recent expansion into Utah.
