Twelve-bar brews

Beer and music will again mix for the Steam Plant’s second annual Blues & Brews Festival on Saturday.

The event from noon to 5 p.m. in the north parking lot will feature beers from New Belgium, New Boundary and Orlison along with the house offerings, including the newly released Oktoberfest lager along with Blood Orange Ale, Highland Scottish and Double Stack Stout.

Tunes will be provided by Lucky Stryke at 12:15, Charlie Butts and the Filter Tips at 1:15 and The Bobby Patterson Band at 3. And to make sure no one goes hungry, the CRATE, Patty’s Tacos and Brain Freeze Ice Cream food trucks will be on hand.

Admission is $10 for adults (which includes two drink tickets and a souvenir cup), $5 for those under 21 (a family of two adults and two kids gets in for $20). A portion of proceeds benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Northwest.
