Less than a week after culinary guru Alton Brown stopped by Coeur for “two cortados, one cup,” the coffee shop has closed.

Sunday was the last day for the corner coffee shop on North Monroe Street.

Coeur Coffeehouse made the announcement on social media media Sunday, writing on Instagram, “It’s been a wild ride. Unfortunately we’re closing the door at Coeur. Really wish we could’ve given everyone more notice.”

The coffee shop, which opened nearly five years ago, also notified customers on Facebook, but didn’t offer a reason for closing the business at 701 N. Monroe St.
