Your weekly roundup

Catching up with more news from the week in local craft beer:

• The Spokane Symphony and No-Li are teaming up for a special “Beethoven & Brews” concert March 10, with a beer garden pouring $3 pints before the 7:30 p.m. performance and during intermission. To promote the event, there will be a limited-release bottling of the brewery’s typically draft-only golden ale; look for that starting Feb. 16 at area Rosauers, Yoke’s and Total Wine stores plus the Rocket Market.

• No-Li also is joining the effort to help a Spokane Valley family who lost their 3-year-old daughter in a house fire last weekend. Specially designed “Spokane Has Heart” T-shirts will be on sale at the brewery Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for $40; all proceeds go to the family’s GoFundMe account.

• Perry Street is selling tickets for its second annual Super Bowl party Feb. 5; for $35, you get a 20-ounce commemorative glass and your first fill plus a smorgasbord (reservations required).

• An Iron Goat dinner Feb. 8 at Clover will pair six of the brewery’s beers – Blackberry Apricot Sour, Trashy Blonde, Mosaic IPA, Head Butt IPA, Cherry Chocolate Stout and Gruff Goats Tripel – with accompanying courses . Cost is $69; for reservations, call (509) 487-2937.

• Young Buck and Paradise Creek are the Inland Northwest breweries participating in this year’s Washington Hop Mob triple IPA events in Seattle starting next week. Young Buck’s Ludicrous Speed (11.6 percent alcohol by volume) is described as resinous, spicy, piney and lightly fruity, while Paradise Creek’s lower-octane Triple Paradise (7.9) is fermented with a Belgian yeast and hopped with Amarillo, Falconers Flight and Sorachi Ace.

• And for fans of the juicy, cloudy, increasingly trendy New England IPA style, Perry Street is launching a series of its interpretations beginning in late February.
