Boulder Beach, the waterpark portion of Silverwood Theme Park, will open for splashing, floating and sliding this weekend.

Beginning Saturday, Silverwood patrons can take a ride on the Riptide Racer, a mat waterslide featuring six side-by-side lanes, go body surfing in the two wave pools or hurl themselves down the Velocity Peak body slide. There are a couple areas just perfect for the little ones, the Polliwog Kids Park and Toddler Springs. And don’t forget the popular lazy river.

Admission, which is good for both Boulder Beach and Silverwood, is $48 for adults and $25 for youth; buy three days in advance online and save $8 for an adult ticket and $4 for youth. Visit www.silverwoodthemepark.com for tickets and information. Silverwood is located at 27843 N. Highway 95 in Athol, about 15 miles north of Coeur d’Alene.
