March is Oyster Festival at Anthony’s
The annual March Oyster Festival is on at most Anthony’s restaurants around the Pacific Northwest, including Anthony’s at Spokane Falls.
Oysters – seared, on the half-shell, baked, fried – are the special through the end of the month. Special lunch menu items include oyster tacos and an oyster burger, while dinner options include a steak-and-crispy-oyster entrée. Plus, oyster happy hour is available all day in the bar, with oyster specials starting at $7.
If you’re competitive and enjoy raw oysters, plan to compete in the oyster slurp contest each Friday at 6 p.m. in the lounge. Slurp nine freshly shucked oysters hands-free and win prizes. Weekly winners will compete March 31 to determine the champion slurper. Anthony’s at Spokane Falls is at 510 N. Lincoln St. On the web: www.anthonys.com.
GoDine launches app in Inland Northwest
There’s a new discount dining app in town. GoDine recently launched its new dining club in Spokane and North Idaho.
Members receive half off of their entrees at about 40 restaurants in Spokane, Spokane Valley, Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene. Monthly membership rates start at $19.95. Members can use their discount as often as they like as long as they dine in; the discount doesn’t apply to takeout food.
The Newport Beach, California-based company launched its free mobile app March 6 after a year in the making. Plans call for expansion to Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, Boise and Denver in the next four to six months. Meantime, local diners can use the app to keep track of how much they’ve saved, search for restaurants and get directions.
GoDine bills itself as “America’s Premiere Dining Club.” Find it online at www.GoDineClub.com.
