What’s Hoppin’ This Week: Celebrate pub crawl, three tap takeovers and anniversaries

Wednesday

The Hi Neighbor Bar (2201 N. Monroe St.) is hosting a tap takeover featuring Seattle’s award-winning Georgetown Brewing. Starting at 6 p.m., enjoy Georgetown beers and earn a chance at winning swag.

Thursday

To honor the date, Nectar Beer and Wine (1331 W. Summit Parkway) is offering 20% off all bar tabs from 2-10 p.m. Enjoy a great tap list at a special discount.

McClain’s Pizzeria (10208 N. Division St.) is hosting Spokane’s Iron Goat Brewing for a tap takeover from 6-8 p.m. McClain’s will be raffling Iron Goat swag all night.

Friday

Brandywine Bar and Bottle Shop (2408 Northwest Blvd.) is celebrating its first anniversary all weekend. Enjoy live music, drink and retail specials and cake. Brandywine’s hours are 3-11 p.m. Friday and Saturdays.

Hop Mountain Taproom (14017 N. Newport Highway) is hosting a tap takeover from Seattle-based favorite Fremont Brewing from 6-9 p.m. Enjoy door prizes, raffles and beer specials.

River City Brewing (121 S. Cedar St.) is hosting the second of its “River City Sessions” music broadcasts featuring a live feed on KRYS Community radio. Local band the Dead Channels will be featured, with the show starting at 7 p.m.

Saturday

Sandpoint is hosting its Fourth Annual Weird and Wonderful Winter Carnival Beerfest and Pub Crawl from 2-6 p.m. Downtown breweries and bars will be serving beer from local and regional breweries. Purchase a commemorative tasting glass at MickDuff’s Brewing and other participating locations.

Tuesday

Millwood Brewing (9013 E. Frederick, Millwood) is continuing its monthly beer dinner series, and Mardi Gras is the theme this month. Tickets for the five-course dinner are $35 and include beer pairings.

Humble Abode Brewing (1620 E. Houston Ave.) is hosting the finals of the Inland Brewers Unite homebrew association’s Winter Homebrew championships. From 6-9 p.m., six finalists will have their beers available for tasting and voting, with the winner getting the opportunity to brew their beer on the Humble Abode system and have it served in the taproom. This event is open only to dues-paying members of Inland Brewers Unite, but 10-day memberships will be available for purchase for $10 at the brewery on the day of the event.
