Shooting in northeast Spokane sends man to hospital with gunshot wound
A shooting Wednesday evening left one man hospitalized and police looking for a suspect.
Spokane Police Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of 2600 N. Market St. at about 7:45 p.m.
There officers found a man with a gunshot wound and provided him medical care while waiting for medics to arrive, according to a Spokane police news release.
The suspect already had driven from the scene, police said. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of a serious injury that was not life-threatening.
Officers collected evidence and attempted to locate the suspect, who is known to the victim, police said. A vehicle of interest was seized, but police did not have a suspect in custody as of Thursday morning.
