Education Notebook: Three area high school students win EWU scholarships

Three area high school students have received Eastern Washington University’s Presidential Scholarship, worth $3,000, for the 2015-16 school year. Koby Wilburn (Mead High School), Katya Salnikova (Summit Christian Academy) and Jarrett Browning (Mt. Spokane High School) plan to attend Eastern in the fall.

The goal of Somebody Needs You is to match donors with the specific requests of needy Spokane residents. The list of requests is coordinated by the Volunteers of America in cooperation with recognized social service agencies in Spokane. If you have an item to donate, please contact the social service agency directly. Donors who can deliver items are appreciated. If someone you know needs help, contact a local social service agency provider.
