Slice: It’s Harder To Teach Today

Also from SR buddy Paul Turner at The Slice/SR re: question: "Is it harder to be a school teacher today?

"If I can stipulate that I have no intention of bashing teachers of the past, I would say the answer is “Yes.” The spectrum of students' backgrounds and experiences is so broad now. Kids have always been individuals, of course. But I have to guess that, in many places, there used to be more similarity in children's home lives.

Question: Do you think it's harder to be a school teacher today than when you were growing up? Why? Why not?
