O'Quinn: Local politics bad for business; newspaper OK 

During a televised debate Monday, Spokane County Commissioner Shelly O'Quinn seemed to point some blame at The Spokesman-Review for the county's economic woes. "Divisiveness all over the paper," she said, has deterred employers from setting up shop here. On Tuesday, however, O'Quinn said those remarks were misinterpreted.

Yakima judge will hear Condon recall case today 

Mayor David Condon is not expected to be in the courtroom Tuesday afternoon. Superior Court Judge Blaine Gibson, of Yakima County, is scheduled to decide if a recall petition from local Democratic organizer and accountant David Green can move forward to the signature-collecting phase.
