Intern Wins Job As City Planner
The city council hired a new planner this week, appointing intern Greg Doyon to the $30,000-a-year post.
He replaces Jim Hendrixson, who was fired last month for running an Amway business out of his city office on city time.
Doyon was one of 12 applicants for the job. He was working as Hendrixson’s assistant for the past six months and acted as interim planner when Hendrixson was fired.
Doyon graduated from the University of Idaho with a master’s degree in public administration.
The city is now searching for an administrative assistant to help Doyon. The position will pay $20,000.
