Police Search For Teens Who Assaulted Spokane Man

A 35-year-old Spokane man who was attacked while walking home early Saturday remained in critical condition at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

The man was walking with his mother on Nevada near Courtland in northeast Spokane when four teenagers approached. One punched him, knocking him to the ground, according to a statement from the Spokane Police Department.

A passing motorist told police that one of the teens kicked the victim several times while he was down. The victim’s head struck the sidewalk.

The motorist followed the teens as they ran toward Gonzaga Prep, but lost sight of them near Fairview and Perry, according to the police statement.

The four were described as white and in their midteens. One wore a white nylon jacket and two wore oversized athletic jackets.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
