Freed Sex Offender Now Living In Valley

A man considered a predatory sex offender has been released from prison and is living in the Spokane Valley, sheriff’s deputies said.

James Anthony Deno, 40, resides in the 10600 block of East Mission.

Detectives said Deno has a 20-year history of sex crimes, including convictions for second-degree rape and indecent liberties.

He often selects his victims at bars, gains their trust then rapes them, authorities said.

Deno is white, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 155 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and is missing the tip of one of his ring fingers. He drives a 1971 blue-and-gray Dodge van. , DataTimes ILLUSTRATION: Photo
