Woman Dies After Driving Car Off Road Near Davenport

A 19-year-old Spokane woman was killed in a one-car crash early Saturday after she drove off the road on Highway 25 north of Davenport.

Heather L. Schafer may have been intoxicated when she lost control of the 1989 Nissan Pathfinder she was driving, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Schafer was not wearing a seat belt, and she was thrown from the vehicle. She died at the scene of the crash due to massive internal injuries, the WSP said.
