Patricia Hinton Colville, Wash.
Service for Patricia I. Hinton, 69, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Colville First Baptist Church. Graveside service will follow at Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville. Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Hinton, who was born in Little River, Kan., died Thursday.
In 1951 she married Hugh Hinton in Longview, Wash. They lived in Spokane, Portland, Valley, Wash., and Fruitland, Wash., before moving to Blue Creek, Wash., in 1971.
She worked for the Statesman Examiner in Colville as an office manager for 10 years. She later purchased the Nutrition Center in Colville and co-operated it for four years.
In 1985 she moved to Medford, Ore., where she owned a bath boutique for several years.
She returned to Colville in 1994.
Her husband died in 1985.
Her memberships included the First Baptist Church and the Soroptomists.
Survivors include a daughter, Roxanne Sitler of Colville; two sons, Jeff and Kevin Hinton, both of Colville; two sisters, Dixie Schrader of Kelso, Wash., and Marlene Reuben of Pleasant Hills, Calif.; a brother, Victor Alton of Craig, Colo.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Education Fund in care of Washington Mutual Savings Bank in Colville.
Esther Stone St. Maries
Service for Esther M. Stone, 79, will be at 10 a.m. today at Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Genesee, Idaho. Mrs. Stone, who was born in Cottonwood, Idaho, died Saturday.
She graduated from high school in Cottonwood in 1936 and lived in Kellogg before moving to Colfax, Wash., where she worked as a maid at the Colfax Hotel.
Mrs. Stone moved to Moscow in the early 1960s and worked as a maid at the Moscow Hotel.
She moved to Post Falls in 1996 before moving to St. Maries earlier this year.
Her husband, James, died in 1973.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Stone of Moscow and Steve Stone of Hayden Lake; two daughters, Gail Barbour of St. Maries and Lois Fisher of Arizona; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
John Jordan Spokane
Memorial service for John G. Jordan, 61, is set for 2:30 p.m. today at the Veterans of Foreign War Post 51. Mr. Jordan, who was born in Mexico City, died Monday.
He served in the Air Force during both the Korean and Vietnam wars and retired in 1976. He then moved to Spokane.
He married Margie , in 1981 at Fairchild Air Force Base.
Mr. Jordan worked as a calibration technician at Johnson Matthey Electronics.
He was a member of Eagles Lodge No. 2, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 51 and the Sea Otters Scuba Club.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Terry Jordan and Lonnie Schroeder, both of Spokane, and Gerald Jordan of Stanwood, Wash.; two daughters, Stacie Bergeron of Spokane and Shering Reeves of Snohomish, Wash.; and 12 grandchildren.

Richard ‘Spanky’ Ford Jr. Spokane
Service for Richard O. “Spanky” Ford, Jr., 31, was Tuesday at Pines Baptist Church. Burial was at Pines Cemetery.
Mr. Ford, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Friday from cancer.
He graduated in 1984 from University High School and in 1989 from Washington State University.
Mr. Ford owned three 7-Eleven franchises in Spokane and for the past year owned Rich’s Gas and Deli.
Memberships included the Kappa Sigma fraternity and Pines Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Hazel Ford of Spokane; two brothers, John Thompson of Spokane and Jim Thompson of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; two sisters, Charlene Hombel of Spokane and Shelli Ford of Clarkston, Wash.; and his grandfather, Claude Thompson of Spokane.

Virginia Dahmen Pullman
Visitation for Virginia Dahmen, 75, will be from noon to 5 p.m. today at Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pullman. Burial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Born in Grand Rapids, Mich., Mrs. Dahmen died Sunday.
She graduated from South High School in Grand Rapids in 1940.
Mrs. Dahmen worked at a Navy defense plant during World War II and as a plant inspector after the war.
In 1958 she married Rinehart Dahmen in Grand Rapids. They moved to Pullman in 1958.
She worked for Washington State University in the housing department and retired in 1983.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Kathy Dahmen-Gorton of Pullman and Margee Dahmen-Suardana of Bali, Indonesia; a son, David Dahmen of Clackamas, Ore.; and five grandchildren.

Jeffery Coker Pullman
Graveside service for Jeffery Allen Coker, 19, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Pullman Cemetery. Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Coker, who was born in Pullman, died Thursday from a selfinflicted gunshot wound.
He graduated from Pullman High School in 1996 and was a member of track and cross country teams.
He later attended the University of Oregon for one semester.
Mr. Coker was involved in the Boy Scouts and reached the level of Life Scout.
Survivors include his parents, Jerry Coker of Pullman and Carol Coker of Richland; a sister, Kristina Coker of Seattle; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herchel Coker of Missouri, and Ruth Palm of Minnesota.

Arlene Crawford Spokane
Visitation for Arlene D. Crawford, 60, will be from noon to 7 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home. Service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Crawford, who was born in Everett, died Saturday.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Dan Traux, and Bob and Bill Peeler, all of Spokane; two daughters, Gina PeelerHannum and Elaina Bohlman, both of Spokane; a brother, Marty Garrett of Sequim, Wash.; a sister, Colleen Dyer of Spokane; and 13 grandchildren.

Clarabelle Allgaier Spokane
Visitation for Clarabelle Allgaier, 91, will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Service is set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Central United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mrs. Allgaier, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Thursday.
She graduated from North Central High School.
In 1925 she married Edward Allgaier. She worked for the Palace department store.
Her husband died in 1957.
Mrs. Allgaier is survived by a sisterin-law, Frances Wood of Oxnard, Calif.

Minnie Ratcliffe Cheney
A memorial gathering for Minnie Eleanor (Heinemann) Ratcliffe, 80, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the home of Beverly Douglass, 1722 Fourth St. in Cheney. Private burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. Cheney Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Ratcliffe, who was born in Cheney, died Wednesday.
She taught school in Connell, Wash., Skagway, Alaska, and Birmingham, Ala. She later worked for the Steve Miller Law Office in Cheney from 1975 to 1986 and as a receptionist for Specialty Management.
Her memberships included the Camp Fire Girls organization, American Association of University Women and the United Church of Christ.
Her husband, F.L. Ratcliffe Jr., died in 1971.
She is survived by two daughters, Louise Ratcliffe of Spokane and Alice Ratcliffe of Switzerland.
Betty Fraser Spokane
Graveside entombment service for Betty M. Fraser, 90, is planned for 3 p.m. today at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of the arrangements.
Born in Washington state, Mrs. Fraser died Friday.
She moved to Spokane in 1927 and moved to the Seattle area in 1946. She worked as a beautician and clerk for Frederick and Nelson in Seattle.
In 1979 she moved back to Spokane and was a member of the Catholic Daughters.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Albert.
Lee ‘Leroy’ Johnson Spokane
Service for Lee “Leroy” A. Johnson, 42, is set for 1 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mr. Johnson, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Thursday.
He was a Mead High School graduate.
Mr. Johnson worked as a truck driver for Midwest Motor Express.
Survivors include a sister, Malee Johnson of Spokane; and his foster mother, Cindy Smith.
Bertha Rittal Greenacres
Memorial service for Bertha E. Rittal, 81, was Monday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rittal, who was born in Woonsocket, S.D., died Friday.
She was a homemaker and a resident of Spokane for 10 years.
Her husband of 41 years, Samuel, died in 1978.
She is survived by three daughters, Sylvia Haynie of Circle, Mont., Jane Larson of Spokane and Debra Blakesley of Reardan, Wash.; two sons, William Rittal of Clarkston and Jimmie Rittal of Circle; a sister, Marie Brandenberg of Alpena, S.D.; a brother, Paul Pawlowski of Wessington Springs, S.D.; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
James Hays Cheney
Funeral Mass for James R. Hays, 65, was Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cheney. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery in Cheney.
Mr. Hays, who was born in Spokane, died Wednesday.
He served in the Army during the Korean War and later worked as a dockhand in the trucking industry.
He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish, Teamsters Union Local No. 690 and the American Legion.
Mr. Hays is survived by his companion, Mercedes Brost of Cheney; a brother, Clarence Hays of Wenatchee; and a sister, Gertrude Adams of Veradale.
Margaret Perrigo Cheney
Graveside service for Margaret S. Perrigo, 85, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Novelty Hill Cemetery in Duvall, Wash. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Perrigo, who was born in Vincent, Wash., died Thursday.
She graduated from high school In 1930 and from Emmanuel Hospital School of Nursing in 1933.
She worked as a registered nurse in the Seattle area and in Renton, Wash., in nursing homes and private care facilities. She retired in the mid-1980s and moved to Cheney.
Mrs. Perrigo was a member of Cheney Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a son, Alfred Perrigo of Seattle; a sister, Emma DeJong of Carnation, Wash.; two brothers, William and Ed Quaale, both of Carnation; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Herman Menke Newport, Wash.
Memorial service for Herman H. Menke, 87, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport. Private inurnment will be held at a later date at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Born in Germany, Mr. Menke died Friday.
He came to the United States as an infant.
Mr. Menke worked on the Grand Coulee Dam project for about five years. He also lived in Hartline and Wilbur, Wash., before moving to Dalkena, Wash., in 1949.
In 1939 he married Ellen Buckley in Ephrata, Wash.
He moved to Newport in 1969.
Mr. Menke farmed and worked for the railroad before going to work at Diamond Match. He retired after 25 years.
His memberships included the International Woodworking Union Local No. 10, Davis Lake Grange and the Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen; a son, Gary Herman of Coeur d’Alene; a daughter, Elaine Wilson of Silverton, Idaho; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
