Farmer’S Markets

Produce expected to be available this week at area farmer’s markets (shop early for best selection):

Spokane MarketPlace (Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., First and Jefferson downtown): Various lettuces (including bibb, butter crunch and oak leaf), salad mix, assorted herbs, radishes, green onions, snow peas, sugar snap peas, green beans, purple beans, cucumbers, spinach, garlic, mushrooms, mustard greens, bok choy, chard, red and blue curly kale, radicchio, leeks, red potatoes, white potatoes, kohlrabi, carrots, red beets, broccoli, corn, edible flowers, honey, cherries, raspberries, apricots and peaches.

Kootenai County Farmer’s Market (Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Highway 95 and Prairie Avenue in Coeur d’Alene): Peas (snow, snap and shelling), various potatoes (including fingerlings), cucumbers, zucchini/summer squash, onions (sweet and other), carrots, various lettuces and salad mixes, cabbages (including napa and savoy), kohlrabi, assorted greens (including chard and kale), assorted herbs, snap beans (green and other), bell peppers, beets, beet greens, garlic, celery, radishes, raspberries, blueberries, currants (red and black), peaches, apricots and apples.

Sandpoint Farmer’s Market (Wednesdays, 3 to 5:30 p.m., Saturdays, 9 a.m. to noon, at Farmin Park, Third and Main): Various lettuces, salad mix, radishes, baby green onions, assorted herbs, edible flowers, new potatoes, snow peas, sugar snap peas, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi, lemon cucumbers, baby eggplant, baby summer squash, baby carrots, turnips, raspberries and blueberries.
