The label of Uncle D’s Hot BBQ Sauce, from veteran Spokane comedian Don Parkins, says “go for the slow burn” — and it does. The sauce, made with everything from molasses to sake, starts out smoky-sweet before the chili heat hits your taste buds.

Guess that’s what they mean by “punch line.”
