Cleo Leu Hayden, Idaho
Visitation for Cleo B. Leu, 84, will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel. Service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Hayden Chapel with a reception to follow at the Yates Hayden Chapel Gathering Center. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.
Mrs. Leu, who was born in North Dakota, died Monday.
She grew up in North Dakota and lived there until moving to California in 1959. She worked for the state of California as a psychiatric technician.
In 1992 she moved to Hayden.
Survivors include four sons, Louis Stoddard of Florida, Ronald and Gary Leu, both of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Larry Leu of Coeur d’Alene; a daughter, Lavonne Minette of Coeur d’Alene; three brothers, Donald, Marvin and Clifford James, all of North Dakota; three sisters, Stella Hougtaling of Washington state, Ava Zook of Minnesota and Florence Krueger of Arizona; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Maxine Jensen Bovill, Idaho
Viewing for Maxine Ruby Jensen, 75, will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow, Idaho. Memorial service will be Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Deary (Idaho) Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mrs. Jensen, who was born in Elk River, Idaho, died Monday, She grew up near Elk River and Helmer, Idaho, and also lived in Troy and Bovill, Idaho.
Mrs. Jensen worked on the green chain at the Potlatch Mill in Potlatch, Idaho, during World War II.
In 1948 she married Frank Jensen.
She lived in Ellensburg before settling in Bovill in 1951. She worked as a cook at Bovill Elementary School for 29 years before retiring in 1992.
Mrs. Jensen was a former member of the Bovill Pinochle Club and was a member of the Deary Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was also a volunteer at the Adventist Church Community Center in Deary and was a local musician, playing the accordian at Deary Days.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include a son, Robert Jensen of Bovill; three daughters, Margo Griffin of Bovill, Lana Weber of Endicott, Wash., and Kathy Pederson of Santa, Idaho; a stepbrother, Elvin Hendricksen; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Hazel Lough Coeur d’Alene
Service for Hazel M. Lough, 79, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Coeur d’Alene Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Lough, who was born in Cambridge, Iowa, died Saturday.
She married Richard Lough Sr. in 1938 and then lived in Riverton, Wyo., before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1959.
Mrs. Lough was a member of Coeur d’Alene Church of the Nazarene and was a senior companion for many years.
Her husband died in 1980.
Survivors include three daughters, LeLah Achey of Coeur d’Alene, Ruth Roberds of Spokane and Judith Heldreth of Chehalis, Wash.; two sons, Richard Lough Jr. of Longview, Wash., and Michael Lough of Auburn, Wash.; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Robert Bush Spokane
Memorial service for Robert James Bush, 53, is planned for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Riplinger Funeral Home.
Mr. Bush, who was born in Ventura, Calif., died Saturday.
He moved to Spokane with his family as an infant and attended Lowell Grade School and Lewis and Clark High School.
Mr. Bush retired from working for the Burlington Northern Railroad.
He was a member of the Retired Burlington Northern Railroad Employees, the American Association of Retired Persons and the Boy Scouts of America and was a volunteer with the Coast Guard.
Survivors include two daughters, Audry Jones of Spokane and Paula Saunders of Vancouver, Wash.; two brothers, Craig Bush of Coeur d’Alene and Bob Febus of Portland; and three grandchildren.
Holly Caudill San Diego
Visitation for Holly Louise Caudill, 36, will be from 10 to 11:15 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, 13608 E. 40th, Spokane. Funeral will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at the Marshall (Wash.) Cemetery.
Miss Caudill, who was born in Spokane, died Friday in Los Angeles of a heart attack shortly after surgery at the UCLA Medical Center.
She graduated from Gonzaga Prep and Gonzaga University School of Law.
Miss Caudill was an assistant U.S. Attorney, currently assigned to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in San Diego.
She was an active public and motivational speaker, having overcome enormous adversity after an automobile accident in 1977 severed her spine, leaving her a quadriplegic.
Miss Caudill was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include three brothers, Neil, Kent and James Caudill; and a host of extended family and friends.

Remar Howell Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for Remar A. Howell, 66, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Community United Methodist Church on the corner of Ramsey Road and Hanley Avenue in Coeur d’Alene. Christy Funeral Home in Millville, N.J., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Howell, who was born in Aberdeen, Wash., died Friday while visiting in New Jersey.
He graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School and then served two years with the Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Howell returned to Coeur d’Alene and worked for GTE for 30 years before retiring. He was also a private consultant.
He had served as a district officer with the Lions Club, was a member of the Community United Methodist Church and also helped construct Twinlow Church Camp.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Nancy; two sons, John Howell of Racine, Wis., and Larry Howell of Florida; a daughter, Ellen Howell Turnbull of Coeur d’Alene; a sister, Joann Jack of California; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Werner `Mickey’ Mack Cataldo, Idaho
Service for Werner M. “Mickey” Mack, 86, will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Hunt Cemetery in Kingston, Idaho.
Mr. Mack, who was born in Latour Creek near Cataldo, died Saturday.
He was a lifetime Silver Valley resident and worked as a dredge foreman for Asarco. He also was a blacksmith at the Hecla Morning Shop before retiring in 1975.
His wife, Lynda, died in 1996.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Mack of Cataldo and Warren Mack of Lewiston; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Lois Butler Bonners Ferry, Idaho
Service for Lois D. Butler, 87, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry.
Mrs. Butler, who was born in Glasgow, Mont., died Sunday.
She moved to Bonners Ferry in 1923 and graduated from high school there.
In 1934 she married Eldon “Bud” Butler.
Mrs. Butler lived in Bonners Ferry and worked as the Boundary County School District lunch supervisor until retiring and moving to Kansas in 1973.
She lived in Kansas for three years before returning to Bonners Ferry. She recently became a resident at the Community Restorium.
Her husband died in 1973.
Survivors include two children, Robert Butler of Spokane and Ann Amoth of Bonners Ferry; two brothers, Robert Kliewer of Spokane and Gerald Kliewer of Boise; a sister, Elsene Gammon of Spokane; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Albert Hubert Chewelah, Wash.
Memorial service for Albert Otto “Al” Hubert, 82, will be at 11 a.m. today at Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah.
Born in Addy, Wash., Mr. Hubert died Sunday.
He graduated from Jenkins High School and went to work for Northwest Magnesite in Quarry, Wash.
In 1941 he married Alice Anderson.
Mr. Hubert lived in Quarry for five years before moving to Chewelah. After the closure of Northwest Magnesite, he held various jobs, including a road builder, powder monkey and heavy equipment operator.
He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union, serving as treasurer for several years. He was also a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Dave Hubert of Metaline Falls, Wash., Lee Hubert of Chattaroy and Peter Hubert of Mead; a daughter, Mary Cosner of Chattaroy; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Dennis Bridgeman Harrison, Idaho
Service for Dennis E. Bridgeman, 55, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Harrison Community Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Harrison City Cemetery. Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bridgeman, who was born in Spokane, died Monday from cancer.
He grew up in Harrison and graduated from Kootenai High School in 1962. He worked briefly for the Milwaukee Railroad.
Mr. Bridgeman then worked for the Potlatch Corp. retiring in 1998 after 34 years.
He married Linda Foster in 1978.
He was active as an assistant scoutmaster and a Little League coach.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; a son, Dennis Bridgeman at home; a brother, Donald Bridgeman of Puyallup, Wash.; and a sister, Janice Etchison of Edmonds, Wash.

Howard Panknin Spokane
Memorial service for Howard Otto Panknin, a 17-year Spokane resident, will be at 11 a.m. June 5 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be at Riverside Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Panknin, who was born in Bay City, Mich., died Thursday. He was 81.
He worked as a park ranger for the state of Washington for many years.
Mr. Panknin was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
Survivors include three sons, James Panknin of Spokane, Ted Panknin of Killeen, Texas; and Bill Panknin of Port Hueneme, Calif.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
