Donald (Dugal) Corbit Rathdrum, Idaho

Rosary for Donald G. (Dugal) Corbit, 74, will be held today at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Spirit Lake, Idaho. Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the church. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Corbit, who was born in North Dakota, died Sunday.

He served with the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Wichita, after basic training at Farragut, Idaho.

Mr. Corbit married Jean Verville in 1950, and the couple lived in Walhalla, N.D., where he worked for Walhalla Mountaineer before moving to California.

He was a printer for Union Tribune Publishing Co. in San Diego and lived in California for 24 years before settling in North Idaho in 1983.

He was a member of the ITU typographical union, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and had served as first president of the North Idaho Seniors Golf Association.

Mr. Corbit was a past member of the Lions Club and had volunteered as a baseball coach in Rathdrum, and also was a volunteer lineman for the Lakeland and Timberlake volleyball teams.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years five sons, Brad Corbit of Athol, Idaho, Wade Corbit of Spirit Lake, Brian Corbit of California, Bill Corbit of Rathdrum and Mark Corbit of Texas; two brothers, James of North Dakota and Richard of Blanchard, Idaho; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Dennis Dalbert Oakland, Calif.

Memorial service for Dennis Elmo Dalbert, 56, will be at 11 a.m. today at the Bethel AME Church in Spokane. The Neptune Society in Oakland, Calif., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dalbert, who was born in Spokane, died last Wednesday.

He worked as an insurance adjuster for All State Insurance and as a welder at Welks Brother Welding, both in Spokane.

Mr. Dalbert moved to California in 1982 and worked as a security officer.

Survivors include his wife, Kae; a daughter, Francell Dalbert; three stepchildren; his parents, Elmo and Alta Dalbert of Spokane; five stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Dixie Mason Medical Lake

Service for Dixie Ray (Goodrich) Mason, 61, will be at 10 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cheney. Burial will be held at Pioneer Memorial Gardens in Moses Lake. Cheney Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mason, who was born in Vernal, Utah, died Saturday.

She was a 26-year Medical Lake resident and a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Benjamin Mason of Medical Lake; four daughters, Gina LaFranchise of Spokane, Kelly Anderson and Lisa Duvall, both of Moses Lake, and Dana Nash of Kent, Wash.; two brothers, Jim Goodrich of Cheney and John Goodrich of Liberty Lake; a sister, Deborah Chittenden of Burien, Wash.; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

Jerry Libey Post Falls

Visitation for Jerry Lee Libey, 61, will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls. Mr. Libey, who was born in Toledo, Ohio, died Sunday.

He grew up and received an education in Ohio, and married Henrietta Rosebrook in 1957. The couple later divorced. He married Renate Webster Schmidt in 1973 and they moved to Post Falls in 1979.

Mr. Libey was a member and senior booster of Lord’s Covenant Church in Sandpoint and Christ’s Gospel Fellowship in Spokane.

Survivors include his wife, Renate; three sons, Rodney, Jerry and Ron Libey; three daughters, Barbara Mauntz, Anita Graham and Angela Webster; a sister, Yvonne Volkman; a brother, Ron Reinhard; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Violet (Neuman) Leslie Walla Walla

Memorial service for Violet E. (Neuman) Leslie, 95, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Odd Fellows Home in Walla Walla. Inurnment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane. Mountain View Funeral Chapel in Walla Walla is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Syracuse, N.Y., Mrs. Leslie died Sunday.

She worked at the Syracuse China Factory until moving to Spokane in 1937.

Mrs. Leslie worked for St. Luke’s Hospital in Spokane, and after retiring was a volunteer for the hospital.

She moved to the Odd Fellows Home in Walla Walla in 1983.

Mrs. Leslie was a member of the Rebekah Lodge 38 and served as a noble grand in 1978. She also was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Walla Walla.

Her husband, Robert, died in 1952.

She is survived by four cousins in New York and Washington.

William Patterson Sr. Spokane

Graveside service for William H. “Bill” Patterson Sr., 76, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Peone Prairie Cemetery in Mead. Memorial service is planned for 10 a.m. Friday at Riplinger Funeral Home.

A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Patterson died Thursday.

He served in the Marine Corps during World War II and later served in the Naval Reserve for two years during the Korean War.

After his military service he worked as a switchman for Great Northern, Spokane International and the Union Pacific Railroads.

Mr. Patterson was a member of Westview Congregational Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty; two sons, Bill Jr. and Jim Patterson; two sisters, Margaret McAllister and Patricia Nemitz, both of Spokane; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Roger `Bud’ Robertson Silverton, Idaho

Visitation for Roger Leslie “Bud” Robertson, 83, will be held today from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Chapel. Service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Wallace. Inurnment will be at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Robertson, who was born in Pocatello, Idaho, died Saturday.

He moved to the Silver Valley from Pocatello in the 1920s and graduated from Wallace High School in 1935. He also attended the University of Idaho in Moscow.

Mr. Robertson married Bernice Blair in 1942.

He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II and returned to the Silver Valley, where he owned a mining equipment sales business.

He was a member of the Wallace Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge and the UI Sigma Nu fraternity.

He was preceded in death by his wife.

Survivors include a son, Doug Robertson of Midland, Mich.; a daughter, Judy Robertson of Houston; a sister, Lillian Eleffson of Bellevue, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

Carole Mabee Colbert

Memorial service for Carole Wilhemina (Brunholtz) Mabee, 79, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Greenbluff Community United Methodist Church. Burial was held at the Bedfield Cemetery in South Poe Valley in Oregon. O’Hair and Riggs Funeral Chapel in Klamath Falls, Ore., is in charge of arrangements.

A 12-year Colbert resident, Mrs. Mabee died March 27. She was born in Bradstedt, Germany.

Her family left Germany in 1926 and settled in Nebraska to farm. She graduated from high school in Cairo, Neb.

She married Joe Mabee in 1942, and they operated Open AJ Ranch in Idaho until 1952. They also lived in Bend, Ore., Reno, Colorado and southern Oregon.

Mrs. Mabee was a member of the Greenbluff Community United Methodist Church where she served on the Outreach committees.

Her husband died in 1976.

Survivors include a son, Joe Mabee of Klamath Falls, Ore.; a daughter, Carolyn Mabee of Alaska; a longtime friend, Frank Rossi of Colbert; a brother, Rudy Brunholtz; three sisters, Donna Vogel, Cecelia Belk and Margaret Long; a granddaughter and a great-grandson.

Clinton White Spokane Memorial service for Clinton W. White, 79, is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Peters Lutheran Church. The Neptune Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Milan, Wash., Mr. White died Monday.

Mr. White served in the Coast Guard during World War II.

He was a heavy equipment operator for the city of Spokane and retired in the early 1980s. He was a 40-year Spokane resident.

Mr. White was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and the Moose and Eagles lodges.

He is survived by two nephews, Bill White of Spokane and Les Matlock of Stanfield, Ore.

Dorothy Hogle Moreno Valley, Calif.

Memorial service for Dorothy Munson Hogle, 82, will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Latah (Wash.) Country Bible Church. Inurnment will precede the service at the Latah Cemetery. Acheson and Graham in Moreno Valley is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Latah, Mrs. Hogle died March 15.

She lived in Spokane for more than 50 years before moving to Moreno Valley 15 years ago.

Mrs. Hogle was a homemaker and a member of the Beacon Chapel Church in Spokane and First Family Church in Moreno Valley.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Wright of Moreno Valley and Carolyn Hatler of Phoenix; four grandsons and four greatgrandchildren.

Patricia `Boston’ Hannon Spokane

No service will be held for Patricia Dale “Boston” Conger Hannon, 74. The Neptune Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.

A 27-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Hannon died Friday. She was born in San Diego.

She graduated from Spokane Falls Community College in 1991.

Mrs. Hannon was a homemaker and volunteered as a County Home Extension officer, a 4-H leader, a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout den mother.

She was also involved in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and in Rotary International and received the Paul Harris Award.

Her first husband, William Conger, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of three years, James; a daughter, Martha Conger of Vallejo, Calif.; a son, William Conger of Colbert; a sister, Susan Graham of Redding, Calif.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Conger Memorial Scholarship for Youth Exchange in care of Washington Trust Bank.

Virginia Bothman Fairfield

Graveside service for Virginia Bothman, 77, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Rosewood Cemetery in Fairfield. Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bothman, who was born in Trenton, N.J., died Saturday.

She had lived in Spokane County for 37 years.

Mrs. Bothman worked on farms in Rosalia, Wash., and Fairfield. She also helped her husband, Ray, operate a service station in Rosalia.

She lived in Rosalia for about 13 years before moving to the Fairfield Good Samaritan Center eight years ago.

Mrs. Bothman was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Fairfield, the Order of Eastern Star, the Rebekah Lodge and the Daughters of the Nile.

Her husband died in 1985.

Survivors include two sons, Bergan Bothman of Fairfield and Bruce Bothman of Rosalia; a brother, Bruce Post of Trenton, N.J.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
