Area Men Complete Basic Military Training
The following airmen have graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio:
John T. Gill, son of Thomas and Karen Gill, Cheney, is a 1998 graduate of Douglas McKay High School, Salem, Ore.
Levar K. Bailey, son of Clifford and Cheryl Bailey, Airway Heights, is a 1999 graduate of Medical Lake High School.
Chris N. Padayao is the son of Darrel and Marlene Padayao, Nine Mile Falls, and a 1996 graduate of Lakeside High School.
Army 2nd Lt. Jody D. Hansen has graduated from the ranger training course at the U.S. Army Ranger School, Fort Benning, Ga.
Hansen, son of Randall Hansen, Greenacres, is a 1989 graduate of Central Valley High School.
He is assigned to the 1st Battalion, 17th Field Artillery, 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Casey, Tongduchon-Up, South Korea.
Navy Seaman Apprentice Aaron K. Dacy has been named Naval Computer and Telecommunications Strategic Communications Unit Detachment Fairfield Junior Sailor of the Quarter.
Selection was based on the individual’s exemplary duty performance, job knowledge, leadership qualities, significant self-improvement and other accomplishments.
Dacy, son of Gabriela Dacy, Spokane, is a 1998 graduate of North Central High School.
He is a communications watch-stander at Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, Calif.
Aerospace freshmen Brian Johnson and Josh Vestal, both of Spokane, have received their private pilot certificates from UND Aerospace at the University of North Dakota.
They completed all the academic and flight-lab requirements as established by the Federal Aviation Administration and the university.
