Ernest Clouse Spokane
Visitation for Ernest “Ernie” Clouse, 83, will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Service is planned for 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the West Greenwood Cemetery, Coulee Hite Road west of Seven Mill.
A 70-year Spokane resident, Mr.
Clouse died Sunday. He was born in Dalkena, Wash.
He served on the board of Inland Power and Light for 26 years. He also worked as a plant manager in the agriculture industry.
Mr. Clouse was a member of the Countryside Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Springhill Grange.
His first wife, Phyllis, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; seven sons, Del Clouse at the home, Walter, James, David and Rodney Clouse, all of Spokane, Phillip Clouse of the Tri Cities and Robert Clouse of Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Edith Sims of Spokane; 24 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Countryside Seventh-day Adventist Youth Mission Project.
Dan Hensley Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for Dan M. Hensley, 53, will be today at 2 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home Hayden Chapel. A reception will follow at the Hayden Chapel Gathering Center.
Mr. Hensley, who was born in Coeur d’Alene, died Saturday from cancer.
He graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1965 and was active in football.
He married Sally Streeter.
Mr. Hensley served four years with the Navy before returning to Coeur d’Alene. He attended Spokane Community College and worked as a baker in the Coeur d’Alene and Spokane areas.
He also worked for Henkel & McCoy as a cable technician in the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene area. He was a master builder and helped build homes for family members.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Kim Miller, Wendy Adams and Chad Hensley; two brothers, Joe and Jim Hensley, both of Spokane; and three grandchildren.

Blanche Tremblay Spokane
Memorial service for Blanche Tremblay, 78, will be at 10 a.m. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mrs. Tremblay died Saturday.
She was a homemaker, and a member and past president of Lillies of the Valley Garden Club.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Paul; two sons, Roland and Dan Tremblay, and a daughter, Linda Moore, all of Spokane; a sister, Frances Syler of Spokane; a stepsister, Betty Liddle of Bellevue, Wash.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Arnold Lamb Spokane
Graveside service for Arnold L. Lamb will be at 1 p.m. today at Chewelah (Wash.) Memorial Park. Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lamb, who died Saturday, was 59.
He served in the Army Reserves and was a lifetime Spokane resident.
Mr. Lamb is survived by his brother, William Lamb Jr. of Spokane.
Marian Tully Spokane
Visitation for Marian G. Tully, 82, will began at 11 a.m. today and follow with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Sprague, Wash., Mrs. Tully died Saturday.
Her family moved to Spokane when she was an infant.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was past president of the Wandermere Women’s Golf Club and member of the Knights of Columbus.
Her husband of 53 years, Raymond, died in 1989.
Survivors include a son, Robert Tully of Spokane; two daughters, Nadine Boni and Rosemary Seipp, both of Spokane; a sister, Elizabeth Clark of University Place, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Charles Churchill Greenacres
Visitation for Charles R. “Charlie Brown” Churchill, 71, will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Mausoleum at Fairmount Memorial Park. Private inurnment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
A 65-year Spokane resident, Mr. Churchill died Sunday. He was born in Denver.
He graduated from Gonzaga Prep and served in the Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Churchill worked as a used car salesman for various car dealers in the Spokane area for 40 years. He retired in 1996.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Nancy; three daughters, Denise Rains and Cathy Johnson, both of Spokane, and Judy McCandless of Boise; two sons, Steven and Mark Cole, both of Spokane; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Russell Brown Sprague, Wash.
Graveside service for Russell A. Brown, 94, will be at 1 p.m. today at Macabee Cemetery in Sprague. Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Sprague resident, Mr. Brown died Sunday.
He married Ruby Engdahl in 1947.
Mr. Brown took over his uncle’s farm and cattle ranch in Sprague, and in 1948 he purchased the Smick property at Fishtrap. He later added to the grounds by purchasing the Brislawn and Bartleson farms north of Sprague. He retired from farming at the age of 62, but continued to work with his cattle until 1992.
He and his wife moved to Sprague in 1992, and they recently moved to the Cooper George Retirement Home in Spokane.
Mr. Brown was a member of the Washington Cattlemen’s Association, the Washington Wheat Growers Association, Tyler Grange and the Sons of Norway.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Brown of Spokane and Karol Clark of Sprague; a son, Terrance Brown of Spokane; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Stanley Gunsten Spokane
Visitation for Stanley Gunsten, 82, will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home. Memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church. Private burial will be at the Pines Cemetery.
Mr. Gunsten, who was born in Fennimore, Wis., died Sunday.
He graduated from Concordia College and the Luther Seminary, both in Minnesota.
Mr. Gunsten served as chaplain in the Army Reserves after World War II.
He was a pastor in Lutheran churches in White Earth, N.D., Bend, Ore., Bremerton, Spokane and Portland. He retired in 1983 and moved back to Spokane.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Elaine; two daughters, Susan Barry and Linda Strom, both of the Spokane Valley; a son, Paul Gunsten of Portland; a sister, Esther Bast of St. Paul, Minn.; and six grandchildren.
Harvey Blumenschein Spokane
Graveside service for Harvey W. Blumenschein, 70, will be at 11 a.m. today at the Endicott (Wash.) Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Blumenschein, who was born in Endicott, died Sunday.
He graduated from Endicott High School in 1948, and worked for Warren Huntly and then for Ben Bafus.
In 1952 he married Geraldine Murphy.
He began working as a foreman for the Endicott Grain Growers in 1960 and retired in 1981.
Mr. Blumenschein and his wife moved to Spokane 10 years ago.
He was a member of the Endicott Gun Club.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Kathy Bergloff of Cheney, Barbara Strader of Endicott, Jeanette Johnston of Hayden, Idaho, and Yvonne Yates of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; a sister, Joyce Lust of Endicott; a brother, Ray Blumenschein of St. John, Wash.; and five grandchildren.

Marion `Bunny’ Jones Spokane
Service for Marion “Bunny” Jones, 89, will be at 10 a.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mrs. Jones, who was born in St. John, N.D., died Saturday.
Her family moved to Spokane in 1918, and she graduated from Central Valley High School in 1927.
Mrs. Jones worked in the banking industry from 1930 to 1979. She had worked at Old National Bank for 15 years and at Fidelity Savings and Loan for 25 years and retired as a senior clerk.
Her first husband of 30 years, Lewis Willey, died in 1963. Her second husband of 17 years, George Jones, died in 1983. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Darolyn Woodison, who died in 1996, and a son, Richard Willey, who died in 1998.
Survivors include six grandchildren, Richard Willey of Spokane, Lars Willey of Kennewick, Nadine Davidson of Oklahoma, and Kristi Haddeman and Steve and Jeff Harding, all of California; and nine great-grandchildren.
Kathryn Beck Spokane
Memorial service for Kathryn Covey Beck will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Beck, who died July 29, was 88.
She graduated from Hillyard High School in 1929, and in 1949 married George Beck.
Mrs. Beck was a lifetime Spokane resident and a homemaker.
Her husband died in 1983.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Beck of Spokane.
Elenora (Redic) Gordon Mount Vernon, Wash.
Service for Elenora L. (Redic) Gordon, 84, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home in Spokane. Burial will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park. Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gordon, who was born in Redding, Pa., died Sunday.
Her family moved to Stillwater, Okla., where she attended school. She later moved to Kansas City, Kan.
Mrs. Gordon worked as a soda clerk at a drug store where she met Marion Gordon. They married in 1933.
In 1946 they moved to Iola, Kan., and operated a tire shop and service station. They moved to Spokane in 1953.
After her husband’s death in 1962, Mrs. Gordon owned and operated Mode O’day dress shop until retiring in 1977.
In 1996 she moved to Lake McMurray near Mount Vernon to live with her son.
She was a member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Spokane.
Survivors include a son, Don Gordon at Lake McMurray; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Colleen Engel Spokane
Memorial service for Colleen A. Engel, a 22-year Spokane resident, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Engel, who was born in Tolley, N.D., died Sunday. She was 69.
She worked as a secretary for Hollister-Stier.
Mrs. Engel was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lewiston, Eagles Auxiliary Aerie 2 in Spokane, Women of the Moose Lodge and the Crystal Chandeliers Ballroom Dance Club.
Survivors include three sons, Kerry Hain of Spokane, Randy Hain of Renton, Wash., and Richard Hain of Yuma, Ariz.; a daughter, Shelley Peterson of Ephrata, Wash.; a sister, Donna Strand of Tolley; a brother, Darrel Engel of Lewiston; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Kenneth Fischbach Spokane
Memorial service for Kenneth W. Fischbach, 61, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars building, 1435 S. David. The Neptune Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Fischbach died Saturday.
He graduated from West Valley High School.
Mr. Fischbach joined the Army in 1960 and served during Vietnam. He retired in 1980 as a staff sergeant.
He had been working as a janitor for American Building Maintenance since 1982.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Judy; a daughter, Christel Seybold of Spokane ; and a sister, Sherrie Mayer of Coolin, Idaho.

Donald Colborn Spokane
Graveside service for Donald L. Colborn, 61, was held Monday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River, Idaho. The Neptune Society of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
Born in Spokane, Mr. Colborn died July 31.
His family moved to Priest River when he was an infant. They later moved to Palouse, Wash., where he graduated from high school.
He served in the Marine Corps from 1959 to 1979.
Mr. Colburn returned to Spokane after his retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Shawn Colborn of Philadelphia and Brian Colborn of Delaware; his mother, Edith Colborn of Spokane; and two sisters, Janice Parrish of Sacramento, Calif., and Barbara Rynes of Milton, Wis.
