Amid all the Valentine’s Day hubbub last Monday, you may not have thought too much about what treat to serve for Washington’s Birthday this Monday.

May we suggest a Hot Cherry Amaretto Toddy from Golden Nectar Specialty Products in Spokane. The sweetened mix, which also comes in a plum version, can be combined with wine or other spirits or simply with water (and topped with whipped cream).

So will we be serving it spiked? We cannot tell a lie …
