Remember that salsa commercial where the cowboys sitting around the campfire sample Brand X, look at the label and sneer, “New York City”?

Well, some of the most authentic salsa in the country actually comes from Chicago. Award-winning chef Rick Bayless of the Frontera Grill bottles several salsas based on recipes gathered during his travels in Mexico, including a spicy-smoky chipotle (pictured here), jalapeno, habanero, tomatillo and roasted tomato.

Price: $4 to $5 for 16 ounces.
