Harold Stueve Bonners Ferry, Idaho

Memorial service for Harold Ray Stueve, 67, will be today at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bonners Ferry. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Stueve, who was born in Sheridan, Wyo., died Sunday.

He grew up at Garfield Bay on Lake Pend Oreille near Sandpoint and attended the Little Church in the Wildwood and worked as a logger.

Mr. Stueve later worked at various creameries, including Sandpoint Creamery, Early Dawn in Spokane, and Golden Heart Creamery in Fairbanks, Alaska.

He moved to Bonners Ferry in 1967 and purchased the Paradise Dairy with his wife Evelyn (Lund).

Mr. Stueve served as a Boundary County commissioner and was a candidate for state Senate. He also was on the Idaho Brand Board and University of Idaho advisory board and was a member of the Idaho Farm Bureau and the United Dairymen.

He was past Dairyman of the Year and Idaho Grassman of the Year and was inducted into the Dairyman Hall of Fame.

Mr. Stueve was involved in the Bee Line Water Association and the North Bench Volunteer Fire Department.

His wife, Evelyn, preceded him in death. In 1990 he married Marlene Evans.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Marcia Tracht of Spokane, Paula Kungel of Colorado, and Peggy Maas and Gary Stueve, both of Bonners Ferry; four stepchildren, Sharlene Delaney, Craig Evans, Dee Dee Oxford and Doug Evans; three brothers, Don, Melvin and Ernie Stueve; a sister, Phyllis Cato; 11 grandchildren and one grandchild.

Clarence Brown Springdale, Wash.

Visitation for Clarence N. Brown, 70, will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Lauer Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Springdale Community Church.

Mr. Brown, who was born in Cortez, Colo., died Friday.

He graduated from Mancos (Colo.) High School.

In 1953 he married Rose Purcell.

Mr. Brown served in the Army during the Korean War. He received the Purple Heart.

He and his wife moved to Springdale in 1966.

Mr. Brown worked as a heavyequipment operator. He retired in 1972. He also had worked as a mechanic.

He and his wife wintered in Blythe, Calif.

Mr. Brown was a former fire chief for the Springdale Fire Department.

He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign War, Springdale Liars Club and the Hilltop Buggy Bums in Blythe.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Rose; two sons, John Brown of Spokane and Jim Brown of Post Falls; a daughter, Kathy Lamb of Tum Tum, Wash.; five brothers, Everett, Virgil, Robert, Lester and Harvey Brown; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Francis Fleming Spokane

Graveside service for Francis Fleming, 88, will be at 10 a.m. today at Holy Cross Cemetery. HennesseySmith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Fleming, a 75-year Spokane resident, died Saturday. She was born in Poland.

She worked as a seamstress for Scollard’s Dry Cleaning.

Her husband, Kenneth, preceded her in death.

She is survived by a sister, Helene Foubert.

Matthew Hansen Silverton, Idaho

Memorial service for Matthew Leonard Hansen, 63, will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Hansen, who was born in Sidney, Neb., died Monday.

He grew up in Nebraska and lived with his uncle and aunt after the death of his parents. He graduated from high school in 1954.

Mr. Hansen then attended Midland College and Kearney State College, both in Nebraska, and then served with the Army.

He married Elfrun Nysera in 1957, and they settled in Potter, Neb., where they lived for 22 years.

He worked as a trucker and joined Consolidated Freightways in Chicago in 1966 and retired in 1996 after 30 years of service.

He and his wife moved to Silverton in 1978.

He enjoyed skiing, gardening and traveling.

He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Elfrun; three daughters, Donna Bruce of Albany, Ore., Gail Featherstone of Wallace, and Paige Radel of Las Vegas; a brother, Lawrence Hansen of South Dakota; and three grandchildren.

Wyatt Harman Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Wyatt G. Harman, 81, will be today at 1 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Church of the Nazarene. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Harman, who was born in Arkansas, died Friday.

In 1942 he married Grace Warner.

He served with the Army Air Corp during World War II and later lived in Montana.

The couple moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1950 and he worked as an engineering assistant for the U.S. Government.

Mr. Harman was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Eagles Lodge and the Masonic Lodge and attended the Church of the Nazarene.

He enjoyed fishing, mining, hunting, politics and gardening.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dan Harman of Nampa, Idaho, and David Harman of Glide, Ore.; two daughters, Judy Haught of Madison, Wis., and Joan Harman of Coeur d’Alene; and four grandchildren.

Lynne Huff Rogers Spokane

Service for Lynne Huff Rogers, 49, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Silverton. Burial will be at Osburn Cemetery in Osburn, Idaho. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rogers, who was born in Burley, Idaho, died Friday.

She graduated from Wallace High School in 1969 and then from Idaho State University.

She later worked for Kootenai Title Co. in Coeur d’Alene until moving to Bethel, Alaska, where she worked for G.T.E.

Mrs. Rogers also worked for the Sitka (Alaska) Police Department and the Everett Police Department before moving last year to Spokane, where she worked for a plant nursery.

Survivors include her parents, Stanley and Joyce Huff of Osburn, Idaho; a sister, Lori Goldade of Pocatello, Idaho; two brothers, Scott Huff of Houston and Bruce Huff of Reno, Nev.; one niece and several nephews.

Geraldine Schorling Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Geraldine Alberta “Jerry” Schorling, 86, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Coeur d’Alene. Interment will be at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Schorling, who was born in Porterville, Calif., died Saturday.

She married Ted Schorling in the mid-1930s, and they lived in Fresno, Calif., for many years before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1988.

Mrs. Schorling was a homemaker and crafts artist. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church and the church’s Peace Circle, which was involved with service projects at the Coeur d’Alene Women’s Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years.

Survivors include a son, Bert Schorling of Bakersfield, Calif.; a daughter, Eileen Johnson of Coeur d’Alene; and four grandchildren.

Dennis Coffey Spokane

Funeral Mass for Dennis Wayne Coffey, 48, was Monday at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in DeSmet, Idaho. Burial followed at the DeSmet Mission Cemetery.

Mr. Coffey, who was born in Spokane, died Friday.

He grew up in the DeSmet area.

He had lived in the Spokane area for the past 12 years. In 1996 he married Teresa Allen.

He worked as a sewing machine operator at All Seasons Clothing Co., Coeur d’Alene Tribal Cut and Sew in DeSmet and the K&L Clothing Co. in Spokane.

Mr. Coffey was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Coeur d’Alene Indian Tribe.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dennis Coffey Jr. of Spokane and Dennis David of Bonners Ferry; a daughter, Kristine Coffey of Spokane; his mother, Christine Coffey of Worley, Idaho; a brother, Fredrick Coffey of Yuma, Ariz.; four sisters, Deborah McCoy of DeSmet, Margaret Coffey of Worley, Carol Zarate of Tensed, Idaho, and Rosemary Yuriar of Sacramento, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Marguerite `Peggy’ Ritchhart Spokane

Memorial service for Marguerite “Peggy” Ritchhart, 86, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home.

A 30-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Ritchhart died Sunday. She was born in Sandpoint.

She worked as an interior designer for The Crescent department store.

Her husband, Howard, died in the 1960.

Survivors include a son, Mike Harrington of Spokane; and a granddaughter.

Daniel Breen Spokane

No service will be held for Daniel Breen, 57, at his request. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Breen, who was born in Spokane, died Oct. 19.

He was a Spokane resident for more than 20 years.

He is survived by a brother, Jim Breen of Spokane.

Betty (Parmley) Honodel Spokane

Memorial service for Betty C. (Parmley) Honodel, 79, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Opportunity Christian Church. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Honodel, born in Bremerton, died Saturday.

She graduated from high school in 1939.

Mrs. Honodel worked as a secretary for B.F. Goodrich Co. in Seattle.

She married Robert Honodel in 1942. They later moved to Portland and then to Missoula in 1957. They divorced in 1970.

Mrs. Honodel then worked as a census enumerator and as a secretary for the Missoula Community Rehabilitation Center.

In 1975 she moved to Spokane.

Survivors include a son, Scott Honodel, and a daughter, Sue Radmaker, both of Spokane; five grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

Marian Reynolds Bonners Ferry, Idaho

Service for Marian Ester Reynolds, 82, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Bonners Ferry. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Reynolds, who was born in Seaside, Ore., died Thursday.

A longtime Bonners Ferry resident, she married Mark Dicus in 1937. He died in 1945.

She married Dennis Reynolds in 1947. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Bonners Ferry United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the County Extension Club.

Survivors include two sons, John Dicus of Spokane and Everett Dicus of Hemet, Calif.; a daughter, Eva Bell of Oakley, Idaho; a brother, Don Wheeler of Redford, Mich.; four sisters, Ina Mae Hanford of Boise, Lucille Alexander of Seattle, Avis Morice of Moses Lake and Barbara Vogt of Plaza; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Brian Henthorn Spokane

Private service for Brian LeRoy Henthorn, 34, will be held at a later date. The Neptune Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Henthorn, a 22-year Spokane resident, died Friday. He was born in Libby, Mont.

He graduated from I.T.T. Technical Institute.

Mr. Henthorn worked as a production inspector for Spokane Industries for 5 years until his health forced him stop working earlier this month.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Janet; two sons, Scott Jesse and Jacob Henthorn, both of Spokane; his parents, Ron Henthorn and June Seidel, both of Spokane; a brother, Paul Henthorn, and a sister, Cari Cruz, both of Spokane; and his grandmother, Luella Henthorn of Libby, Mont.
