Motorcycle rally to aid Cancer Patient Care

Hop onto your motorcycle and ride to the Kootenai County Fairgrounds, Coeur d’Alene, over Labor Day weekend to support Cancer Patient Care.

The Roar in Core, an annual motorcycle expo and rally, will be Sept. 3 to 6.

The event features displays, vendors, bike rides, camping, bike wash, saloon, poker runs, hog roast, demonstrations, concerts and more.

Live music includes performances by Peter Frampton and The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Jude Bowerman, and Shades of Purple.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Cancer Patient Care, a local nonprofit organization that assists cancer patients and their families.

Golf tournament

The fourth annual Scramble for Hospice Golf Tournament will be Sept. 12 at the Indian Canyon Golf Course.

The benefit for Hospice of Spokane begins with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. followed by dinner, door prizes and an awards ceremony.

Cost is $80 per player and includes green fees, golf cart and dinner. Registration must be completed by Aug. 31.

Wardrobes to Women

Inland Northwest Health Services is seeking donations of quality women’s clothing.

Items needed include professional or casual clothing, social occasion dresses, shoes, handbags and accessories.

Donations will be accepted at the Wardrobes to Women event at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute, room 200, on Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
