Wine, Stein and Dine now taking reservations

Tickets are on sale for Wine, Stein and Dine.

The annual fundraiser, hosted by the Post Falls Education Foundation, features 85 wineries, microbreweries and restaurants at the Greyhound Park and Events Center, 7 to 10 p.m. on March 3.

The event raises money for creative classroom teaching grants and has raised more than $374,000 for Post Falls schools in the past 14 years.

Tickets are $45 each in advance or $60 at the door and include all food and beverages, along with a complimentary wine glass or beer stein.

Tickets are sold at Washington Trust banks in North Idaho and the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce, Super One, Enoteca and Trading Company in Post Falls. For more information, visit pfefwsd.org.

Center Pointe fundraiser Feb. 11

Center Pointe is hosting “An Evening with the Winemaker” on Feb. 11.

Chef Romeo Herrera of Catered For You will prepare the Mediterranean-theme menu. Each of the five courses will be served with wines presented by John Allen of Vino! A Wine Shop. Silent and live auctions are planned.

Old Country Buffet restaurants are closed

For those who missed it, Old Country Buffet restaurants in Spokane were closed as part of the Chapter 11 filing of the parent company.

The restaurants at 12205 E. Sprague Ave. and at 5504 N. Division St. are closed, with no plans to reopen, a spokesperson told The Spokesman-Review.
