Letters of intent

Basketball

Gonzaga women: Georgia Stirton, 5-foot-8 guard from Melbourne, Australia, and North Idaho College, 2012-13 NJCAA Region 18 Player of the Year.

Idaho women: Renae Mokrzycki, 6-0 forward from Cranbourne, Australia, and North Idaho College.

Idaho men: Jake Straughan, Colton, 6-1 guard, averaged 26 points, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals per game as a junior with a season-high 42 points in one game. Has 3.97 GPA.

Golf

Washington State men: Derek Bayley, Lakeland of Rathdrum, Idaho 4A champion as a freshman and 2012 Pacific Northwest Men’s Amateur Public Links champion; Zach Anderson, Nanaimo, B.C., three-time B.C. Golf Zone 6 Junior Golfer of the Year and 2013 CN Future Links Prairie Championship winner; Brian Mogg, Skyline of Sammamish, Wash., qualified for match play at the U.S. Junior Amateur in 2013 and won the Bill-Egbers Memorial in 2012; and Evan Omelia, Watford, England, Community Colleges of Spokane, All-NWAACC Eastern Region as a freshman and won three tournament titles as a sophomore at CCS.

Softball

Community Colleges of Spokane: Ashlynn Bocook, Mead, three-time first-team All-Greater Spokane League outfielder, hit .410 with 13 RBIs as a sophomore and .375 with 24 RBIs as a junior. She had three home runs each season.

Swimming

Washington State women: Anna Brolin, Gilroy, Calif., sprint distance, breaststroke and butterfly with career bests in the 100 breast (1:05.89) and 100 fly (56.22) in 2012-13; Hannah Bruggman, Wenatchee, freestyle and backstroke, with career bests in the 50 free (23.68) and 100 free (51.71) in 2012-13; and Rachel Thompson, Santa Ana, Calif., freestyle and backstroke.

Volleyball

Washington State: Casey Schoenlein, 6-foot-5 outside hitter from Newport of Bellevue, four-time All-Kingco and two-time league MVP; and Haylee Mathis, 5-11 setter, Strasburg, Ill., four-time all-conference and two-time conference MVP.
