Area basketball roundup: Sasquatch men, women post wins

Dean Richey poured in a game-high 24 points and handed out seven assists and Jake Love totaled 21 points and a game-high eight rebounds to propel the Community Colleges of Spokane Sasquatch (18-10, 8-5) to a 108-82 victory Wednesday over the visiting Yakima Valley Yaks (5-22, 3-10) in Northwest Athletic Conference play.

Sasquatch reserves Race Martin and Jacob DeVries scored 15 and 12, respectively, while starters Orin Porter and Dalton Patchen scored 10 apiece.

CC Spokane 71, Yakima Valley 38: Gese Gruber scored a game-high 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Karlee Martin chipped in with 14 points and nine assists to power the Sasquatch women (15-14, 4-9) to a NWAC win over the visiting Yaks (5-22, 2-11).

Emily Schramm scored 13 and Khadija Neumeyer added nine points and a game-high 10 rebounds for CC Spokane.
