Juvenile arrested for fire in Coeur d’Alene Resort bathroom

Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy who is suspected of lighting a fire in a seventh floor bathroom at the Coeur d’Alene Resort Monday.

Resort staff were able to put the fire out quickly, according to a Coeur d’Alene Fire Department press release. The blaze caused $1,500 in damage.

After reviewing surveillance video, police and fire investigators arrested the 17-year-old with first degree arson and malicious injury to property. They also identified and arrested 18-year-old Terren LaRosa of Coeur d’Alene on a charge of malicious injury to property.
