There’s a new doughnut shop in north Spokane.

Retro Donuts specializes in classic styles of doughnuts – more than 60 kinds are on the menu – as well as beverages that wash down doughnuts well (read: pour-over coffee, milk, juice).

Pinterest success

The internet is full of Pinterest food fails.

Rubber ducky cupcakes. Baby chick cake pops. Hedgehog cake. Justin Bieber face cake. Rainbow pancakes.

They’re horrible and funny and horribly funny.

But we at The Spokesman-Review Food think we don’t hear enough about Pinterest food successes. So we’re looking for local home cooks to share their achievements – those recipes that turned out looking … Just. Like. They. Do. On. Pinterest.

Send the link to the original post as well as the recipe and a few short thoughts on how or why you think it turned out – maybe even better than expected.

Send your submissions to Spokesman-Review Food Editor Adriana Janovich at adrianaj@spokesman.com or P.O. Box 2160, Spokane, WA 99210.
