A Union Pacific train derailed about four miles north from Highway 2 on Moyie River Road, Boundary County. The derailment involves 12 railroad cars loaded with grain that derailed due to a mud slide. None of the cars reached the Moyie River and there was no HAZMAT material involved.

On Tuesday, the North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force arrested two people in connection with the Saturday armed robbery of Jordan's Grocery on 15th Street/CdA. Vincent Kyle Juarez, 18, and a 17YO female, both of Post Falls, were charged in the robbery.

It was a great night for Kootenai County school districts (although not for voter turnout). Voters approved everything on the ballot, from supplemental levies to the Coeur d'Alene school bond and the Lakeland plant facilities levy.
